Aims of the Course

To ensure the candidate is competent in the safe handling of a rough terrain telescopic handler.

Who is the Course for

Anybody operating a rough terrain forklift truck and needs to prove competence in the handling of these potentially dangerous machines.

Course Content

• Legal and statutory legislation related to rough terrain telescopic handler
• Pre-start checks and routine maintenance
• Recognise instrument readings and operate all the controls
• Inspect vehicle and comment on serviceability
• Operate the machine to:-
  - Load and unload safely
  - Handle on rough terrain and slopes
  - Manoeuvre in a confined space
  - Operate at different working heights

What to bring

Overalls, rigger gloves, goggles and appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather
