Aims of the Course
|
To ensure the candidate is competent in the safe handling of an ATV or quad bike.

|
Anybody who would like to develop their skills and, or, needs to prove competence in the handling of these potentially dangerous machines.

Course Content
|
- Legal and safety requirements related to Quad bikes
- Pre-start checks
- Handling trailed implements / trailers
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Handle on rough terrain and slopes
- Handling trailed implements on rough terrain, slopes and reversing
|

What to bring
|
- Appropriate crash helmet
- Overalls, gloves, goggles and appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather
- Fully functioning, clean and in good repair Quad bike. One quad bike between two candidates is recommended. (Ask if you do not have access to a machine, we may be able to hire you one)
- Fuel in an appropriate container
