Electrical

CoursesElecricals

Our courses have been designed and developed not only to deliver the nationally recognised electrical qualifications you need to conduct your business, but also to ensure you achieve the most from the course content.

We do this in a number of ways and we ask when you compare our prices ask the provider if they match our courses.

  • Small group sizes, average of 8 per group.  We do this so you have personal interaction with the tutor and get to know the rest of the group; which in turn gives you confidence to ask questions therefore ensuring you understand the course content.
  • Lunch is supplied.  We do this so the group interacts which allows you to learn for each others experiences, it also avoids any waiting for other group members to return from lunch wasting your time.
  • EAL Assessments.  These are multiple choice online assessments, easing the burden of written assessments.  EAL is a nationally recognised qualification provider and is accepted by all competent persons schemes.
  • Countryside Setting.  We are based near the village of Montacute only 2 miles from Yeovil. We have ample parking directly outside the training room.

Starting Out In Electrics?

What do I need to be able to install or alter domestic electrical installations professionally?

You need to be a registered competent person.  This can be done through a selection different organisation including NICEIC or NAPPIT to just mention two.  These organisations require you to prove your competence and they have several requirements to prove this.  These requirements can vary from organisation to organisation however the core requirements are as follows.

  • EAL Domestic Installer Certificate
  • 17th Edition Certificate
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Test Equipment
  • Publications relevant to electrical installations
