NVQ
If you have over two years experience or need to convert your red card to blue contact Windmill-Training to arrange an NVQ assessment on your plant category. This will prove your competency to operate this machine.
We can assess your NVQ around your work commitment using an 'electronic portfolio' reducing paperwork as we simply film you carrying out your normal work. Paper based portfolio also available.
C.P.C.S.
Construction Plant Competency Scheme is a nationally recognised qualification which is required to work on many large building sites and construction projects.
The M.C.G. (Major Contractors Group) have decided that only operator/drivers who have training and hold a CPCS operators ticket will work on their sites, and many of the leading construction companies are following suit. It is expected that only people who carry a CITB/CPCS operator’s card will be able to work on any site.
If you are new to plant operations, or the category, the red card option is available. Attend Windmill-Training foundation courses, length depending on experience, pass the Health and Safety test, CPCS theory and practical test to receive for your red card. On receiving for your red card you have two years to complete your NVQ and convert it to a blue card.
Your blue card will need to be updated within 5 years. |
