These individually designed programmes provide students with realistic working environments to help them make informed choices about career and future education progression. The students will become involved in a real projects. During 2007—2008 the construction group built a diesel tank storage and filling station. This involved designing the layout to industry standard , to calculating the bund ( which contains the diesel tank ) and the materials required ,constructing the walls, designing the electrical circuits, rendering the wall, making secure, installing the pump then plumping the pipe work. These projects not only make them appreciate the range of skills required to complete these tasks but also compliment Key Stage 4 learning. This has proven to have a positive effect on discipline and attendance in school as well as provide project work and assignment material for use in school.
One to One
Under the work experience scheme individual tuition is an option. This gives the ultimate in individually tailored learning and development planning and is designed according to the individuals learning needs. This is available in all our vocational range outlined in the prospectus.
Progression
On completion of this course the student will receive a certificate of attendance and if successful a reference to use to gain employment or use to enrol on a further education course
