BTEC Introductory Certificate & Diploma

The BTEC Introductory Certificate and Diploma in Construction has been designed to provide a broad introduction to the construction industry. Students will acquire basic skill required for this sector  with the focus on the maintenance and upkeep of properties and structures,  the use of traditional and modern technologies and health and safety.

Progression

The student  may progress to further education and  training, into an apprenticeship scheme or  other employment within the industry. There are many career opportunities within the industry e.g. surveying, architect,  building control, carpenter, engineer or in the allied trades.
